Eva Berlaus

Eva Berlaus is an office managing partner of SORAINEN Latvia and head of the Corporate and M&A Team, which includes the Corporate, Employment, Investment Incentives, M&A, Private Equity and Privatisation Practices. Eva has been practising law since 1996.

Eva has participated as counsel in major cross-border M&A deals in Latvia for both sellers and buyers and on behalf of listed and non-listed companies in business sectors such as banking, media, utilities, food, construction, property development, energy, consumer finance and environment. Eva has sound experience in advising on competition law issues relevant to merger control, asset transfer and related matters.

Mergermarket has ranked Eva among top 10 M&A lawyers by volume in terms of the number of M&A transactions announced in the Baltics and Belarus during 2007-2013.

Eva is actively involved in development of the Latvian legal system. She has also delivered presentations on business law at seminars in Latvia and throughout the Baltics. Jūlija Kozlova

She has received Master’s degree in University of Latvia, in Faculty of Finance and Trade. For raising qualification Jūlija has attended several professional training programmes in financial accounting, bank accounting, financial management, field of business law and tax legislation, as well as she has received diploma of UK Institute of Financial Analysts in international accounting standards and diploma of internal auditor issued by UK Institute of Certified Financial Managers.

In 2006 she graduated Master studies in the Baltic International Academy in programme “Business management and administration”. Jūlija has substantial experience obtained through a work for a long time in accounting, financial and economic sectors.

Along with changes in times, legislation and requirements of state institutions Jūlija always improves the range of her knowledge.
