Through this endorsement, we are pleased to highlight her position on our leading global platform, which connects distinguished legal professionals with businesses, in‑house counsel, and referrers worldwide. Our exclusive expert positions are reserved for practitioners who demonstrate consistently high standards of professionalism and sector knowledge.
Nada Abdelsater-Abusamra is an international lawyer and the Managing Partner of ASAS LAW, a Lebanese law firm with a practice extending across the Middle East, Europe, the United States, Africa, and Commonwealth jurisdictions. Admitted to practice before the Courts of New York and Beirut, as well as in The Hague, she has spent much of her career working on legal matters that cross jurisdictions and bring together different legal, financial, and regulatory systems.
A significant part of her practice is devoted to asset recovery, money tracing, international litigation and arbitration, and the enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards. She advises clients on tracing and recovering funds and assets in Lebanon, including those held in Lebanese bank accounts, as well as on seeking the release of funds that have been frozen by national or international authorities. Her work can involve investigations and proceedings across several jurisdictions, requiring close coordination and a careful understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks involved.
Ms. Abdelsater-Abusamra is the exclusive representative of ICC-FraudNet in Lebanon, an international asset-recovery network operating under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Commercial Crime Services unit. Through this work, alongside her broader legal practice, she has handled matters involving the tracing, freezing, seizure, and recovery of assets and funds.
Her practice also encompasses white-collar crime, confiscation and freezing orders, complex commercial disputes, and a range of corporate and financial matters. These include mergers and acquisitions, financial engineering, oil and gas, public-private partnerships, corporate governance, and restructuring. She is also consulted by senior regulators, particularly in the banking sector, on legal and regulatory issues.
