Mary Allan is a partner in the firm’s Muscat office. Her practice focuses on energy and infrastructure projects and privatisations. She has extensive experience in the Arabian legal marketplace having lived and worked in the region for over 20 years, including three years in Egypt, four years in Dubai and over ten years in Oman.
Ms Allan has a particular specialty in the power and water sectors, having advised both public and private sector clients over the last 10 years in relation to the Arab region’s ongoing programme of independent power projects. She also advised the Oman government with respect to the region’s only independent desalinated water project to date.
Ms Allan also has an extensive client base in the energy sector (both upstream and downstream), and regularly advises clients in relation to acquisitions and sales of interests in oil and gas production sharing agreements, and additionally in relation to oilfield services.
