Stephan L. Jervell

Stephan L. Jervell works with litigation, dispute resolution and negotiations, and public law framework conditions for trade and industry, including EU/EEA law. His expertise also includes administrative law, competition law, state aid and procurement law, and contract law. Jervell is admitted to the Supreme Court and litigates regularly before Norwegian courts. He has litigated before the EFTA Court and carried out several hearings before the EU Commission. He also has experience as an arbitrator in national and international arbitrations.

In recent years, Jervell has been highly engaged in international arbitration in shipping, oil and gas, M&A disputes and general contract law. He has litigated many cases in the ICC and the SCC systems and also been engaged in ad hoc arbitration.

Jervell is also the author of a number of textbooks and articles.

Espen Juul Haugan

Espen is a partner and member of the board of the firm in Oslo. He is the head of the IPR- (intellectual property rights) and Media group as well as the Sports group of the firm. He is also active within commercial transactions and has considerable experience in commercial disputes and proceedings.

Espen has for several years represented some of Norway’s most prominent IT companies with their commercial transactions and international negotiations. He has also assisted both national and international TV- companies in IPR related issues.

In 2009 Espen was invited as a speaker at the yearly IBC Euroforum IT – conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, presenting Norwegian standard contracts for use in iterative IT- projects.
