Lieven Peeters is a renowned expert in the field of real estate and construction. He has a deep knowledge of contracts law and general commercial law.

Lieven advises his clients in all aspects of complex real estate transactions, including: the structuring of real estate projects; real estate M&A; sale-and-leaseback transactions; joint ventures; leasing; split structures. Lieven has advised on various major transactions in the Belgian market involving: large shopping centres and several logistic centres; office buildings; commercial properties; large inner-city (re-)developments; and on other real estate niche products (including senior citizens’ housing and mixed-use projects).

Lieven has been recently appointed Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. He is also a member of the Professional Association of the Real Estate Sector (BVS – UPSI); the Belgium-Luxembourg Council for Shopping Centres (BLSC); the Belgian Association for Construction Law (BVBR – ABDC); and the International Bar Association.
