Dr. Michael Scheele
Professional Biography
Dr. Michael Scheele has been admitted to the bar in Munich since 1977, in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) since 1991, and in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) since 2013.
He advises and represents domestic and international companies in all areas of business law, as well as high-profile individuals, artists, and media professionals in matters relating to media and reputation law. Over the course of his career, he has acted in numerous complex and cross-border matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Scheele is a columnist for several newspapers and magazines and the editor and author of a range of legal and general-interest publications.
He studied law at LMU Munich and Stetson University (Deland, USA) and earned his doctorate (Dr. jur.) in civil procedure in 1978. From 1979 to 1989, he served as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles for the Federal Republic of Germany. He founded the civic initiative “Fair Press” in 1991 and was a member of the Constitutional Commission of the Republic of Albania from 1991 to 1993.
