Erik Gotfredsen
Professional Biography
Erik Gotfredsen is a Director, Senior Counsel and the Chief Executive Officer at Wakefield Quin Limited, advising on complex Bermuda and cross-border corporate, banking, finance and capital markets transactions.
Practice Focus
Erik focuses on sophisticated corporate, finance and capital markets transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, secured lending, restructurings, project finance and financial derivatives.
Experience
Erik regularly advises local and international banks, asset managers, fund managers and public and private companies. His experience includes securities offerings, investment funds, secured lending, restructurings, securities lending and derivatives documentation, including ISDA, GMRA and GMSLA frameworks.
Before joining Wakefield Quin in 2014, Erik practised at another international Bermuda law firm. Prior to relocating to Bermuda in 2008, he worked in the Real Estate Finance Group at Morrison & Foerster LLP in Tokyo and previously practised with DLA Piper (Canada) LLP in Vancouver.
