Syed Ali Bin Maaz has extensive experience working on corporate and commercial matters, with a strong focus on aviation finance, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and financial market transactions. In addition to his experience in the corporate field, Ali also advises in commercial dispute resolution matters and appears before the courts in Pakistan.

Ali acts for major clients most notably in the energy and natural resources and financial sectors. He provides specialist advice in relation to aircraft leasing and aviation financing and routinely advises power sector entities in negotiations of project documents, including fuel supply agreements and power purchase contracts. As of 1 July 2012, Danish MH Shah was admitted to the partnership. Sajid Zahid

Mr. Zahid heads the Firm’s dispute resolution department but is also involved in general corporate commercial work. He has vast experience in contentious matters including litigation in the Superior Courts of Pakistan, arbitration under Pakistan laws and under international rules of arbitration as well as mediation.

Mr. Zahid is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn. He became a Partner of the Firm in 1981. Mr. Zahid is based at the Firm’s Karachi office.
