Mr. Benedict Oregbemhe is a qualified attorney from Nigeria. He is a Managing Partner at Benfield Attorneys and Solicitors.
He has considerable experience in project finance, construction law, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and business rescue, infrastructure and procurement law, trade and investment, commercial litigation and international commercial arbitration, registration of foreign judgments, commercial debt recovery, intellectual property law, corporate immigration law, corporate tax advisory services, insurance, real estate and succession, civil aviation, natural resources law, energy law, banking and finance, labour and employment, compulsory acquisition, administrative law, etc.
Mr. Oregbemhe particularly specialises in international trade and investment advisory, start-ups, company formation and secretarial services, conducting due diligence, government regulatory and compliance. He is an expert in the investment laws and regulations of Nigeria. He assists and represents both Nigerian and foreign companies before the regulatory authorities in Nigeria. He has acquired reputed transactional and litigation experience, including various corporate and commercial matters, and international commercial arbitration.
Mr. Benedict handles the incorporation of companies and registration of businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), the establishment of joint ventures, incorporation of trustees and charitable trusts, negotiating and drafting of Memorandum(s) of Understanding (MOUs), shareholders’ agreements, alteration of name, objects, and articles of association of corporate entities, etc.
He also handles commercial transactions that involve applying for and obtaining business permits, expatriate quotas, and Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Cards (CERPAC), and the registration of Technical and Service Agreements with the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), all from the Ministry of Interior and the Nigerian Immigration Service.
