Alberto Sánchez

Born in Mexico City on December 29, 1971, Alberto Vazquez Sánchez is a graduate of Universidad La Salle, where he completed his studies in 1994, obtaining his law degree in 1996 after publishing his thesis, “Expropriation as a Right Derived from Mining Concessions.” With more than 20 years of experience, his practice focuses mainly on corporate law, mining, immigration, foreign investments, and community relations. Mr. Vázquez has been actively involved in the establishment of Mexican companies, the corporate management of mercantile companies, drafting agreements, and representing major foreign corporate groups with businesses in Mexico.

In the mining sector, he has led significant negotiations to secure access to surface lands where concessions are located. He also has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts related to mining concession rights, mining corporations in general, and community relations.

Mr. Vázquez is also a skilled lawyer in immigration matters, including obtaining immigration documents for foreign executives of various nationalities working in Mexico.

He is an active partner of the Mexican Mining, Metallurgy, and Geology Engineer Association, A.C., and a member of work groups organized by the Mexican Mining Chamber (CAMIMEX) and the Mining Promotion Management of the Economy Department.

Mr. Vázquez has been invited as a speaker at local seminars on mining law and has written several articles for magazines specializing in mining and environmental law. He authored the Mexican chapter on mining regulations in The Mining Law Review and is a contributing author of Mining for Success II, published in 2014.
