Being a multifunctional IP and commercial lawyer, Julia focuses her practice at Hogan Lovells on various IPMT matters, including copyright advice, TMT regulatory advice, transactional work, patent strategy and portfolio management, anti-counterfeit and IP protection advice, advertising regulations, personal data, and know-how protection issues. Before joining Hogan Lovells in 2013, Julia worked in one of the leading Russian law firms, focusing on work for the high-tech producers and IT industry sector.
Having started her professional career with one of the largest worldwide broadcasters, she has extensive experience in the mass media and broadcasting fields. Julia is an attorney-at-law, admitted to practice by the Moscow City Advocates’ Chamber in 2009. Julia is a co-author of the Russian sections of ICLG Telecoms, Media and Internet Laws and Regulations 2014 – 2016. She is also a visiting lecturer at the Higher School of Economics. She is currently giving lectures on IP disputes resolution for the HSE’s LL.B. program.

Advising leading alumina producer Rusal on patent licensing, know-how protection, transfer, and licensing in international joint venture project; extension of portfolio and development of strategy.
Advising LEGO on various IP matters in Russia including on protection of IP rights on the Internet, domain disputes and anti-counterfeit actions.
Representing Novomatic, leading global gaming company, in criminal proceedings against copyright violators, advising on copyright protection strategy and termination of copyright infringements on the Internet.
