GASSER PARTNER:
Gasser Partner is an independent full service law firm in Liechtenstein. Being one of the leading law firm reaching from the beautiful and small country of Liechtenstein to international clients, the firm advises and represents national and international clients in all legal fields, in particular: corporate and commercial; banking; dispute resolution cases; and white-collar crime. The expertise is built on long-standing experience with fiduciary transactions (foundations, establishments, trusts, securing of assets) and legal representation of international clients in all legal fields. With offices and representations in Vaduz, Zurich and Vienna, the law firm has a big footprint in the region and excellent global links and regularly collaborates with other international law firms.
Areas of practice
Gasser Partner is advising and representing domestic and international clients in corporate, foundation and trust law. The firm has developed into one of the leading business law firms in Liechtenstein with 18 lawyers. The main practice areas cover all aspects of business law, such as corporate, banking, real estate and employment law. Its lawyers advise in national and international litigation and arbitration cases. Gasser Partner dedicates itself exclusively to playing the ‘classic’ attorney’s role, which has allowed the firm to preserve its independence. This is of benefit to the firm’s clients, especially in disputes involving trust transactions (foundations, institutions, trusts, liability of administrative boards, securing of assets etc). Nevertheless, Gasser Partner’s attorneys are still well trained in trust transactions and are familiar with the pitfalls and the tricks of the trade upon which the success of legal proceedings depends. As a law firm offering purely forensic services, Gasser Partner is not only one of the oldest but also the one of the largest law firms in Liechtenstein.
For its clients, Gasser Partner publishes the quarterly ‘Memo to Clients’ in German and English – a vehicle in which it discusses the current trends and court decisions pertinent to Liechtenstein law. One of the most successful Gasser Partner publications is an introduction to Liechtenstein civil and arbitration proceedings (Litigation and Arbitration in Liechtenstein, Staempfli Verlag Bern 2004), which it co-authored with the former President of the Liechtenstein Supreme Court. A revised and extended 2nd edition was published in 2013. Further in 2013, Gasser Partner published the first practice commentary on Liechtenstein Foundation Law.
