Nicole Giselle Booi

Nicole Giselle Booi, a native of Aruba, obtained her master’s degree in Dutch Law (major: civil and corporate law) from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. After graduation she started her career as a grant advisor with one of the big 4 accounting firms in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

In 2004 she came back to Aruba to work at an investment bank as their in-house legal counsel. In 2006 Nicole started working as an attorney at law at an international law firm and was admitted to the Bar in both Aruba and the former Netherlands Antilles (now Curacao, St. Maarten and BES-islands). She is specialized in Intellectual Property Law, Contract Law and Corporate Law.

In 2012 she founded Aanic Legal Services, Trademarks & Consultancy N.V. (“Aanic Legal”) to follow her passion and to continue to specialize in Intellectual Property (trademarks, copyright), as well as Entertainment Law, with a focus on music and film. Nicole is a member of the Aruba Bar Association and of various international professional organizations, such as the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL). Nicole currently serves on the Anti-counterfeiting Latin America and Caribbean Subcommittee of the INTA.
