White & Case Advises Development Partners International on Exit from Investment in Egyptian Retailer B.TECH
Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Development Partners International (DPI), a premier investment firm focused on Africa, on the sale of its significant minority stake in Egyptian retailer B.TECH.
DPI is a premier investment firm with approximately US$3 billion in assets under management and co-investments across three funds, targeting high growth, impact-driven and innovation-led companies in Africa.
Founded in 1997, B.TECH is the largest integrated multi-channel retailing and consumer finance platform in Egypt, selling consumer electronics and household appliances. DPI invested in the business in 2016 through its second fund, ADP II, partnering with CEO and founder Dr. Khattab and his management team to execute an ambitious growth plan and digital transformation.
