Sajid Zahid

Mr. Zahid heads the Firm’s dispute resolution department but is also involved in general corporate commercial work. He has vast experience in contentious matters including litigation in the Superior Courts of Pakistan, arbitration under Pakistan laws and under international rules of arbitration as well as mediation.

Mr. Zahid is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn. He became a Partner of the Firm in 1981. Mr. Zahid is based at the Firm’s Karachi office.

Dispute Resolution:

The Firm deals with all types of contentious matters including civil litigation, arbitrations and mediation covering a broad range of industries. A Joint Senior Partner heads this area with over 28 years of experience and is supported by a dedicated team which has successfully acted for major domestic and overseas clients. The Firm has also worked (with or without the participation of overseas Counsel) in international arbitrations.

The Firm was established in Pakistan in 1952 but has its roots in a firm of the same name set up in pre-partition India over 100 years ago.

The Firm currently has two offices in Pakistan: the main office is based in the main commercial city of Karachi whilst its other office is based in the capital: Islamabad.

The Firm has 7 partners all drawn from within the Firm, a Senior Corporate Counsel and 13 Associates.
