Member of the Lomé Bar since 28th November 1985, Mr. Alexis Coffi AQUEREBURU is a highly influential Counsel with a wealth of experience that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of the legal profession.
Managing Partner of the AQUEREBURU & PARTNERS Law Firm, he was successively Secretary and President of the Togolese Bar Association from 2006 to 2010.
A pioneer in the fight against counterfeit goods and trademarks in Togo, a specialist in intellectual property and an authorised agent for the AIPO (African Organisation of Intellectual Propety), he is very active in the promotion of the Law in Togo and the sub-region.
He has published a number of articles over the course of his rich career on a variety of relevant and topical legal issues. He is a member of the OHADA national commission and arbitrator at the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) and is well-known among them and within the profession. He is also well versed in environmental issues, having obtained a postgraduate degree in this forward-looking field.
