Jay Gladis counsels companies in transnational business matters. With more than 30 years of experience acting as general outside counsel and transactional counsel for prominent companies in a wide variety of industries, he takes a pragmatic, results-oriented approach in advancing his clients’ interests.
Jay has handled strategic merger and acquisition, joint venture, direct investment and financing transactions in most regions of the world, as well as projects involving intellectual property, distribution of industrial and consumer products, structuring companies and investment vehicles, corporate finance and general contacting, including outsourcing and consulting services. He has also represented strategic and financial investors in a wide variety of private equity and venture capital opportunities. He has front-line experience with clients’ commercial affairs that allows him to identify with their strategic and operational concerns, in addition to their legal issues.
Jay is currently resident in the firm’s Abu Dhabi and New York offices, and, earlier, worked for one of Japan’s most prestigious international law firms. His years spent abroad, as well as his work servicing clients of diverse nationalities, has made him sensitive to the specific needs of international clients, and the unique cultural, political and legal challenges they present.
