Mr. Gilles Athaw is a Barrister qualified in U.K. and called to the Bar of UK and in Mauritius. Mr. Athaw has wide experience in the corporate and financial services sector. He has been advising several multinationals, banks and investment banks. He has acted as the Mauritian counsel in various financial transactions including structured financing, debt restructuring and derivatives transactions. He has, in that capacity, reviewed and drafted all corporate and security documents, legal due diligence reports and legal opinions. He has also been involved in the setting-up of several open-ended and closed-ended funds and other Mauritius SPVs.
