Elizabeth Albert is a senior attorney in Cravath’s corporate department. Ms. Albert’s practice focuses on derivative matters, including fixed income, equity and credit derivatives, and also the impact of new derivatives regulation under the Dodd‑Frank Act.
Ms. Albert was born in Bethpage, New York. She received an A.B. degree cum laude from Harvard College in 1984 and a J.D. degree with honors from Yale Law School in 1987. Ms. Albert joined Cravath in 2011 and was elected a senior attorney in 2012. Previously, she was a Vice President in the Legal and Compliance Department at Morgan Stanley & Co. as well as Senior Vice President & Counsel at D.E. Shaw & Co., a unit of which was sold to KBC Financial Products Group, where she was Managing Director and Global General Counsel for eight years, all in New York. Prior to that she was in private practice.
